We shopped all the local fish markets and found BB to have the best prices on shrimp. Great jumbos with heads for $7/ lb. they were super fresh. Other prices looked good there too. Their blue crab was higher than another purveyor by 20% for #1 jimmies but they had more and again super fresh - looked just delivered. Don't fret about the lady answering the phone, she's hardworking and thanked me for my business. This will be our go to place for seafood in CB.

We have bought seafood here numerous times. The fish is usually fresh and decent. We also have encountered problems. We recently bought oysters and once home found they were clumped into a bunch of multiple, unable to get apart well. Did not feel these were adequate for what we expected. Our scallops were suppose to be 15 large scallops. We were able to get 7 full scallops out of the order. The rest were small pieces. Overall a real disappointment. May still try again, don't know.

Blackburn Brothers has the best seafood selection around. During Oyster season we know they will have the best and if they don't they will tell you to wait. Simply a fantastic place to buy seafood.

I ordered 15lbs+ of shrimp and 100 clams and it was bagged up and ready to go in 10 minutes. The location is hidden and if your not looking for it you'll drive right by it! The selection was good and everything looked fresh and delicious, from whole fish to filets. There's nothing fancy about this place, it's a hole in the wall that sells good seafood!

2nd time I've encountered a nasty attitude by the person answering the phn. Hung up abruptly twice after not really answering my questions. Not good business. I will avoid this place in the future.

We always buy our seafood here when we want to grille at home, and have been for almost 30 years. The lady who helps us is always friendly and willing to offer her opinion. We bought some salmon (my wife seems to only like salmon). It was fresh and firm. I also picked up some monk fish because the lady told me it tasted a lot like scallops. She was right, and I really enjoyed it. We also got 2 lbs of muscles which she picked out 1 by 1, looking to see if they were open and tapping them on the counter. I contemplated another filet (can't remember which) but decided we had enough for dinner. As I was cashing out, she tossed a filet into my bag for no charge and said "give it a try. Enjoy" If you want to cook your own seafood, this is the place to go. If you choose to buy at Food Lion or Harris Teeter, you're making a mistake, in my opinion.

Excellent service, friendly staff and fresh seafood - shrimp, scallops, variety of fresh fish, clams, etc. They even sell limes and lemons, olive oil, and other sauces and rubs. The prices seemed reasonable.
